We are delighted to announce indoor training for women will commence on Wednesday 10th April from 8pm to 10pm and will continue for 5 weeks in the lead up to the summer season.
Clare Shillington (pictured on the right in action against Sri Lanka in October 2012), who has achieved over 100 caps for Ireland will provide coaching. She was awarded the 2012 Cricket Ireland Women’s International Player of the Year and we are very excited to welcome Clare to Tyrrelstown.
Any women or teenage girls interested in playing are welcome to attend even if you have not played cricket before. For new players this is a great opportunity to start and for those who already play, indoor cricket is an ideal way to perfect your skills without worrying about rain stopping play!
Venue: Tyrrelstown Community Centre
Date: From 10th April and every following Wednedsay for 5 weeks
Time: 8pm to 10pm
Cost: €10 weekly cost to cover hall hire*
*Players not already registered with the Club will be required to also pay season registration fee to cover insurance.
Over the summer we will arrange friendly matches with other local women’s teams and take part in the annual Beach Cricket Ireland competition. Tyrrelstown Women’s Team have won this fun tournament two years in a row and are hoping to make it a hat-trick in 2013!
